Stamping, Sheet Metal or Machining? Volume, Precision & Cost in One Table

Given the same drawing, three processes compete. Choosing well saves more money than any price negotiation.
Stamping Wins at Volume
High tooling investment, very low unit cost. Ideal once annual volumes justify the die.
Sheet Metal for Small Batches
Low tooling, moderate unit cost. Perfect for pilot runs and low volumes.
Machining for the Tightest Precision
No tooling and the tightest tolerances, but the highest unit cost. Best for complex or low-volume parts.
